Rabbit Litter Box training
Litter box training your rabbit can be challenging for some and super easy for others. It always good to have a litter box trained rabbit (a.k.a potty trained). Now, I can't gaurantee you that every single little dropping will be in the litter box, but your rabbit, once trained, will try her hardest to use box whenever she can. Reasons to potty train: If you have an indoor rabbit, you will definitely want her to use a litter box! Or if you just want easier cleanup for the outdoor rabbit. If you use clumping, scented kitty litter you will greatly reduce the strong urine smell. I clumping kitty litter (scented or not) or shavings. It makes things a whole lot easier. Just pour a shallow amount of litter or a good amount of shavings into your rabbit's litter box (a corner litter pan or a small cat pan). Clean out the pan/box once a day, you can scoop the clumps and droppings out or replace all of the litter. I like to just scoop things out and refill what it needs (really saves on litter). Now, for the training. Pretty simple. Find the corner that your rabbit uses the most as a bathroom spot, most rabbits pick one spot. Then, place your litter box in that spot. If your rabbit avoids the litter box, move it to the spot he's resorted to, you can pour vinegar in the area that they are using that is outside the litterbox. After a week or so your rabbit should get the point! Hopefully by a month she'll be fully trained. Good Luck :)
